Amber Valley Branch

Welcome to the Amber Valley Branch

The Amber Valley branch covers the area of the Amber Valley District, which includes the towns of Bakewell, Wirksworth, Duffield, Belper, Ambergate, Alfreton, Ripley, Heanor and surrounding areas. 

The Branch is run entirely by local parent volunteers, each with young babies and children of varying ages. We offer support, information, understanding, friendship and help to new (and old) parents and parents-to-be.

We are a very friendly and active branch with lots going on. Come and join our regular drop-in events... we are always happy to meet you!

Our Branch offers the following local Services;

• Ante-Natal Classes
• Breastfeeding Support (available from Summer 2009 once our trainee's qualify)
• NCT Bra Fitting
• Breast Pump Hire & Sales... and more...

Our Branch Activities Include;

• Bumps & Babes Group
• Baby & Toddler Group
• New Members Coffee Mornings
• Many Different Social Events
• Twice Yearly Nearly New Sales
• Local Branch Newsletter... and more...

Social events, such as cinema outings and meals, are arranged on a regular basis. These are popular as they enable people to really relax without the little ones. Softplay outings, picnics in the park, sponsored walks are other examples of days out.

We are a friendly committee which can offer friendship and an opportunity to get involved with a great charity that supports all aspects of parenting.

We are a very fortunate Branch as we are currently supporting 1 Trainee Antenatal Teacher and 2 Trainee Breastfeeding Counsellors.  These trainee's are hoping to qualify in 2009.
