A new Netmums survey has found 70 per cent of UK families are living on the edge of financial survival.
The survey results can be viewed here: http://www.netmums.com/home/netmums-campaigns/families-in-crisis

Belinda Phipps, Chief Executive of NCT, the UK's largest charity for parents, said:

"No parent should be forced to make a choice between missing a meal or being unable to put food on the table for their children. Too many families are being pulled apart by the struggle to afford necessities and feel able to meet the needs of their children. We need to see a more supportive environment for families in the UK, before it's too late to repair the damage done.

"NCT is there for parents who are struggling to make ends meet through services such as Nearly New Sales, our House Swap scheme, free support and information and national helplines which cost the same as a local call. The charity is also a member of the End Child Poverty and End Fuel Poverty campaigns."
