Susie Parsons, the Interim Chief Executive of NCT, sadly died following a stroke at the weekend. Our thoughts are with Susie’s loved ones at this very sad time.

Susie joined us in December 2014 to lead the organisation while we recruited a new permanent CEO and although she was with us for only a short period of time, she made a big impact with her drive and energy and worked diligently and intelligently to help keep us on course.

NCT benefitted enormously from the wealth of experience Susie brought to the charity from her successful career in the voluntary and public sectors. She served as Chief Executive of the Commission for Racial Equality and provided Interim Chief Executive services to a wide range of charities and public sector organisations, including the Big Lottery Fund, the National AIDS Trust and Arthritis Care.

Beryl Hobson, Chair of the Board of Trustees, said:

“Susie was a very capable and professional Interim CEO. She was also a lovely person and we are shocked and saddened by her untimely death. She contributed greatly to the charity during her time with us.”

The Executive Team described Susie as caring and thoughtful and will work together to lead the charity until the arrival of new CEO, Nick Wilkie, on 14th July.
