NCT can now provide more families with urgent baby essentials after partnering with the Baby Bank Alliance, which launched earlier this month.
As a charity partner, NCT’s Baby Bundles projects work with the Baby Bank Alliance to ensure every baby has the basics they need including clothes, nappies, moses baskets and mattresses.
NCT Baby Bundles supported over 2500 families last year. Many of the NCT Baby Bundles are already registered as members and can be found on the Baby Bank map.
The Baby Bank Alliance ensures that all baby banks can access the funding, goods, volunteers and practical support they need, to be the most effective they can be.
Last month, NCT branches in Mid Cheshire and Warwickshire Central each received £1200 in funding from the Baby Bank Alliance which could help up to 60 families get access to baby essentials.
Daniella Abraham, interim head of volunteering at NCT, said: “We know more and more parents are relying on baby banks for baby essentials, particularly with the rising cost of living. This new partnership and funding will help us reach and support more parents who are struggling with necessities when it comes to caring for a new baby.”
