"The most valuable lesson I learnt from our postnatal course is that there isn’t a correct way to parent a baby –
it is what suits the individual and fits in with their life..."
The courses are usually for women. In your group you'll discuss practical skills in coping with your new baby. Importantly, the course will help give you the confidence to parent your baby in the way that is right for you and your family.
Most courses offer 12 hours of sessions for a group of 4-10 women who have babies aged 2 weeks-6 months of age. Each individual course varies as they are designed to meet the specific needs of the group.
Mothers get to know each other and often find they build relationships which support them for months and often years.
