Our Nearly New Sales have been running locally for many years now and are a brilliant way to purchase quality goods at bargain prices.
100% powered by volunteers we transform a venue into a one day only pop-up shop like a mini department store with all of the seller goods carefully sorted into size and type and displayed for easy browsing and shopping.
We provide you with a shopping bag and then when ready we have our check-out area fully equipped with chip and pin machines - if you are an NCT member, bring your membership card for express checkout.
Items for sale are entirely dependent on our sellers however you can expect maternity/baby/children's/dressing up clothes & shoes, toys, baby baths, carriers, puzzles, bouncers, bikes, cribs, prams, pottys, moses baskets, stair gates, maternity/nursing pillows, games, play mats, cots, travel systems, bedding, nursery equipment, cloth nappies, slings, ride-on's, scooters, slides, bumbo's, high chairs - the list is endless. We can't however sell certain items such as those with a plug or car seats (although sellers may offer these free of charge with a travel system).
Our sale runs for an hour and a half, however if we are ready early we may open early, the queue can be long however goes down very quickly. Lots of our volunteers are experienced parents so please feel free to ask for help or advice during the sale.
As previously mentioned we are 100% powered by volunteers and all are welcome and we offer fantastic perks such as the loan of a polo shirt or apron for the day, social potluck lunch and early shopping - in return we ask that you cover at least two of our volunteer shifts on Friday night and Saturday.
If you are ready to have a bit of a clear out (and help raise some money for the NCT, the UK's largest parenting charity) then maybe it's time to become a seller. Our seller registration opens approximately one month before the sale.
Numbers are limited and it costs £5 to register, we will then send you a seller guide and a spreadsheet so that you can create your own labels for your sale items and prepare them for drop off on the Friday night pre-sale.
You then have the option to collect unsold goods after the sale or opt to donate them to one of our partner charities that put them to good use distributing items to families in need or sold on in their charity shop.
