We are happy to have you onboard and all your previous experiences and skills are highly valued. Volunteering is a great way to learn new skills, make new friends, and give back to the community, support other new or expectant parents locally.

We currently have vacancies for:
URGENT! Communications / Social media volunteer
To help us spread the word of our services to all parents in the local area ASAP. We anticipate the role to be 1-2hrs / week (or as much as you like!).
We’d love to find a volunteer with professional communications experience and a good working knowledge of social media who would like to make a meaningful difference to the impact of the branch in as short a period of time as possible!
The role would be autonomous but involve working in collaboration with branch co-ordinator and local volunteers. Online volunteer training on GDPR & safeguarding is provided by NCT.
The role would include:
Growing the Clapham & District NCT social media community (currently has a reach of approx 4,000) to a wide range of parents
Improving the branch’s approach to how activities & services are publicised
Capturing analytics of social media activity
Drafting copy for branch activities
Regular posting of branch activities on local social media and local websites and parent networks

Breastfeeding Cafe Helpers, SW12
We are looking to add to our team of volunteers who help out at our breastfeeding drop-in. The role is essentially about meeting & greeting mums attending the drop-in, serving refreshments, taking bookings for breastfeeding counsellor consultations and venue set-up & tidy up. Time commitment: one session a month on a Monday between 10 am & 12noon
Dads & Babies Group Leader (for online groups too)
We are looking for a dad to start up this much-needed group to support local dads who are responsible for the full/part-time care of their children. We can help you with promotion and finding a venue for this new group.
Time commitment: one 2hrs/ month
Twins & Multiples Group Leader (for online groups too)
Join our team of volunteers to host monthly meet-ups for new parents of twins & multiples. The meetings are informal get-togethers which are invaluable in allowing new parents to meet others in their area.
Time commitment: 2hrs/ month and meet-ups can be organised at your convenience in a local coffee shop
Nearly New Sale Coordinator/s:
We are looking for one or two people to run the Nearly New Sale three times a year. You would be dealing with enquiries from sellers, buyers. Also, you would be in charge of setting up on the day. You would be fully supported by the Branch for Sale publicity, admin and a team of volunteers for the day. It is lots of fun and a great thing to do for the Branch fundraising efforts and local parenting community!
Time commitment: 1hr/week and then six hours on the Sale weekend
Nearly New Sale Helpers
Enjoy shopping? Join our Nearly New Sales team and help with planning, promoting & running our ever-popular sales.
Time commitment: up to 3 sales a year
Open House Coffee Morning Hosts SW4, SW11 (for online groups too)
Become an Open House Morning host and hold monthly coffee mornings for new and second-time parents. The Coffee Mornings are informal get-togethers which are invaluable in allowing new parents to meet other parents in their area.
Time commitment: 2hrs/ month and meetups can be organised at your convenience in a local coffee shop
Walk and Talk Coordinator
Do you like walking and making new friends? We can help you gather a group of local parents and babies to enjoy walks in local parks or Commons.
Time commitment: 1hr/week
LEGO Duplo Meet & Make Group Leader
Do you enjoy playing with LEGO with your children? Would you like to share this fun experience and involve other local parents? Playing with children is a fun way to relax and a great way for them to learn. We have masses of Duplo bricks, we only need fun parents/grannies/nannies to get started!
Time commitment: 2hrs/month
