Did you know that NCT's branch activities are operated by volunteers, usually parents with young children, who want to help other families?
From baby groups, to walking events or nearly new sales all our branch activities are run by a team of passionate volunteers.
Volunteering is fun, rewarding and doesn’t take more time than you’re willing to give.
If you feel that you want to support NCT to provide parents with a better experience of pregnancy, birth and early parenthood please consider taking a role on our team.

Volunteers can get involved in:
- Helping at Nearly New Sales,
- Running Bumps & Babies groups,
- Meeting for Walk & Talk or Care Home Visits
- Organising First Aid Courses,
- Helping the brach with the fundraising events,
- Writing newsletters or leaflets,
- Making connections for marketing and advertising purposes,
- Coordinating the relationship with our members
plus much more – there’s a role for everyone no matter what time you have to offer.
A lot of volunteering can be done from home at a computer at a time to suit you!

Volunteering for NCT is not just for women or parents – everybody is welcome.
It’s a fun way to meet people and offer support to the ones who need it. If you are on a short career break such as maternity leave, or thinking about a change of path in your career, then volunteering can help keep your skills up-to date and learn new ones.
We are always looking for volunteers to help us expand the ways we can support parents.
