Places must be pre-booked and paid for through our online booking platform. Your booking is not confirmed until you receive our confirmation email.

Type of sale
Ticketed sales - We use this term to describe sales where you the seller drop off your items. Our volunteers sort items into categories like clothes and toys and display them for sale. Buyers select the items and pay at the till. As a seller at and NCT ticketed sale, you will take home the sale price of the items you sell, minus a commission The commission you pay is set out in your confirmation email or seller's pack.
Table top sales - We use this term to describe sales where you the seller remain present throughout the sale and sell directly to buyers. As a seller at a NCT Tabletop Nearly New Sale you will take home 100% of the sale price of items you sell on the day.
Expectations of seller
The NCT Nearly New Sale Principles set out what you can and cannot sell. Please read them carefully. You will be asked to remove any items that do not meet these principles from the sale.
You must only sell items that you own or that you have the express permission of the owner to sell.
Sellers must remove all unsold items, equipment and rubbish at the end of the sale.
Business sellers
If you wish to sell new items or services then you will need to book a ‘Business stall’. Business stalls are not available at all sales. As a charity, we reserve the right to cancel bookings from any business that does not meet our Commercial Activities Policy.
All businesses attending the sale must have a minimum of £2 million Public Liability Insurance. This must be emailed in advance of the sale. Failure to provide evidence of your insurance will mean you will not be allowed to sell at the sale.
All businesses must comply with the safety legislation and laws relating to their business. For example if you are a food stall holder you must comply with all food hygiene requirements and be appropriately registered.

If you cancel your place more than 14 days before the event, we will refund your booking fee. If you cancel your place 14 days or less before the event, a refund will only be offered at NCT’s discretion.
