Week 13

Support and information from NCT

NCT offers reliable support and information about the various stages of pregnancy, week by week.

Your developing baby

Your baby and your bump will grow rapidly over this next trimester. Their toes will be obvious and their joints will have developed so they start flexing and kicking. They’re still tiny though (about the size of a fist) so you won’t be able to feel them move just yet!

Week 13

Hormones and emotions

Hormones during pregnancy help regulate the many changes taking place to enable your baby to be born safely.

These altered hormone levels in your body can affect how you feel. You may feel low, tearful or easily irritated. Often these symptoms ease after the first three months of being pregnant.

Booking your antenatal class

You will probably have lots of questions when it comes to giving birth. Our antenatal courses will give you lots of help in preparing for the birth and life with a new baby, and are a great way of making friends with other expectant parents locally.

To avoid missing out, it’s worth booking onto one of our antenatal courses as soon as you can.
