In response to the CBI report ‘A Better off Britain’, Abigail Wood, NCT Public Affairs Manager, said:
“We know that many new parents really struggle financially so we are delighted to see the CBI calling for more free childcare for one and two year olds and better paid parental leave. Sadly the CBI’s policy won’t help parents who choose to return to work earlier and we want to see them consider this. Acting on these calls would show that the Government’s family rhetoric is more than just hot air.“
